LOOKING FOR HIKING BUDDY—

Hi! I'm in SE Portland. I joined Women's Outdoor Club because I've been wanting to spend more weekends outside but most of my friends aren't really campers. I'm hoping to do a few overnight trips this summer—nothing intense, just swimming, cooking dinner outside, reading, and sleeping under the stars. If that sounds like your speed, I'd love to connect.

SEEKING A RIVER FLOAT BUDDY
I'm new to Portland and still figuring out all the swimming holes. Looking for a few women who want to spend hot afternoons floating rivers, jumping in cold water, and bringing too many snacks.

— Julia (26)

LOOKING FOR OTHER MOMS
I'm a mom of two and would love to connect with other women who want to spend time outside but are balancing family life. Day hikes, picnics, easy camping, all of it.

— Kate (38)

FRIENDSHIP REQUEST
Honestly, I'm here because making friends as an adult is weird. I moved to Portland three years ago, work remotely, love being outside, and miss having a group of women to call when I want to go for a hike or sit by the river after work.

If any of that resonates, say hi.

CLUB JOURNAL

[06.23.26] July river day registration opens next week. We will release 50 tickets at 12:00 PM on a first come, first served basis and after, we open a waitlist. While we want to accomodate everyone, it’s a bit unrealistic and perhaps a bit dangerous to have so many on a river all at once. We want to respect nature and keep the girls all together.... [06.20.26] Several members have expressed interest in beginner backpacking, fly fishing, birding, and overnight camping trips. Expect more opportunities in the coming months....

[06.14.26] 32 women gathered at the river for our first official Women's Outdoor Club outing. Some came with friends, many came alone. Women arrived from different neighborhoods, backgrounds, professions, and stages of life, yet the desire for the same things kept surfacing: friendship, connection, community, and a reason to spend more time outside...
