What do we see when we see? The way we see things is affected by what we know or what we believe. This a two-session workshop is designed to stimulate your creative process through a series of exercises and experiments.

We'll challenge you to look at images in unexpected ways, revealing new interpretations and narratives. By working with a curated selection of random images, you'll be pushed to think outside the box and discover hidden connections. While the provided images will be your primary storytelling tools, you'll also have the opportunity to incorporate your own creative elements, such as drawings, colors, or text, to enhance your narratives. By the end of the workshop, you'll create your own unique booklet, weaving together these elements to tell a visual story.

This workshop offers valuable skills applicable to any creative field. Whether you're a photographer, illustrator, painter, designer, or editor, learning to interpret images in new ways will enhance your creative vision and expand your storytelling capabilities. By engaging in these exercises, you'll develop a fresh perspective and discover innovative approaches to your own creative practice.

Javier Reyes—(Founder of RRRES/ Co-Founder of Landdd) is a Dominican designer living in Oaxaca, Mexico since 2017. He has dedicated the last 7 years of his career to the exploration and experimentation of traditional crafting techniques, working directly with local artisans in this region. His work is characterized by a bold geometric aesthetic, employing simple yet strong forms to create striking visuals. rrres is the embodiment of this exploration, fusing traditional techniques with a contemporary vision.
