We hold our practice with intention, working from scratch the moment your order has been placed. Once the design is received by the master weaver, the sheep’s wool is hand-dyed with custom colors and processed. The cotton warps of the loom are interwoven with wool, ready for the rug to take shape. Our production times reflect the traditional methods, depending on size and design of your rug, which could take as little as a couple weeks to complete.

Material
Our pieces are made with 95% wool. 5% of cotton is used only for the internal warp structure. The wool is sourced directly from small farmers in Mexico to ensure no animal cruelty and the completion of the sheep’s natural fiber cycle.

People
We work with Zapotec weavers who have been mastering the art of weaving for more than 2,000 years. These experts, both women and men, traditionally work within their communities alongside their close family members, who have passed this high knowledge down many generations.

Place
Our main production studio is based in the city of Oaxaca, where most of the communities that we work with are located. Thanks to this proximity, we have been able to establish a strong working relationship over the last five years.
