The Arch
Pieced together by PVC pipe, gardening wood and zip-ties, this structure as an homage to traditional decorative installations from his homeland of Mexico.
Manu Torres (b. 1983) is an artist and floral sculptor from central Mexico and based in Portland, Oregon. He is the founder of Florescent, a floral design studio, building arrangements that dialogue between the artificial and the natural. Torres incorporates paper, fabric, paint, wigs, and feathers to imitate and exaggerate natural beauty in a hyperreal way. His work has been featured in Elle Decor, Domino, and Museum of Art and Design. His recent solo exhibition at Russo Lee Gallery was an ArtForum Critic's Pick.
