MANU TORRES / WORKSHOP / MANU TORRES / WORKSHOP / MANU
This in-person workshop is taught by instructor and local flower sculptor-guru, Manu Torres. Over the course of 4+hours, students will build one arrangement utilizing in-season botanicals, special papers, repurposed materials, synthetics and natural fibers.
Torres will guide you through his personal process- applying his design principals to create unconventional structures with playful material ingenuity. While the necessary elements will be provided, participants are encouraged to bring additional ingredients/media they wish to include in their arrangements.
As we wrap up, each student will have their arrangement photographed by Landdd for keepsake and given a carry-box for safe transportation home.

Manu Torres (b. 1983) is an artist and floral sculptor from Michoacan, Mexico and based in Portland, Oregon. He is the founder of Florescent, a floral design studio, building arrangements that dialogue between the artificial and the natural. Torres incorporates paper, fabric, paint, wigs, and feathers to imitate and exaggerate natural beauty in a hyperreal way. His work has been featured in Elle Decor, Domino, and Museum of Art and Design. His recent solo exhibition at Russo Lee Gallery was an ArtForum Critic's Pick.
